Safety, Health and Environment (HSE) has been considered as a serious operational necessity  along with the industrial needs, social obligations , responsibilities , national and international industrial requirements of Dorfak Shomal Steel Complex. In this regard, we  determine the coordinated and targeted orientations and objectives and create a unity of practice, appropriate to the needs and characteristics of the complex in the Steel industry, in order to achieve the best levels of performance and full compliance with HSE requirements and rules in the field. HSE are a primary and important obligation which is Developed in the form of a vision, mission and HSE policy of the complex.

 

HSE  Vision

Safety, occupational health and the environment are a key priority and value in the complex. Because observing the above causes sustainable development, protection of human capital and other stakeholders (contractors, consultants, customers, etc.), and becoming a leading model and knowledge base in the country's Steel and Mining industry and aligned with the world ‘s standard.
HSE Mission :
Dorfak Shomal Steel Complex  is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all its employees and other stakeholders by managing issues related to safety, occupational health and the environment as an integral part of its business chain in order to have a positive interaction with relevant organizations.
Our approach ensures comprehensive and integrated safety, health and environmental management across all activities, equipment, facilities and infrastructures of this complex through the development of world-class professional capability and the transfer of world-class HSE technical knowledge, with emphasis on principles. Adaptation:

Dorfak Shomal Steel Complex will comply with all applicable laws, regulations and standards. And establishes the necessary procedures and enforcement programs to ensure compliance. Compliance with HSE standards is a key approach in training, planning objectives and programs, evaluating staff performance and motivational programs.

 

Prevention:

Dorfak Shomal Steel Complex designs and builds HSE management systems to prevent actions or conditions that pose a threat to human health and the environment. And it takes steps to minimize the risks and protect staff and other stakeholders and prevent the useless consumption of air, land and water resources and pollution by employing appropriate technologies and operating procedures.

The complex expands its commitment to the HSE to all employees, suppliers, customers and other stakeholders. And request their participation in HSE meetings and the planning of objectives and programs. The commitment to the HSE plays a key role in the selection of staff and contractors.

 

Continuous improvement:

The Complex pursues continuous identification of opportunities for continuous optimization in the efficiency and effectiveness of the HSE management system, optimization of resource use and adherence to the principles of this statement. Some of the activities of the HSE unit in the Complex as follows:

  Supervision of safety of workplace and machinery and improvement of working conditions and health monitoring of biological, physical and chemical pollutants present in the workplace and reporting to the employer.
  Educate employees on safety and health issues and build interest and collaboration in promoting the safety and self hygiene culture of the product line and encouraging staff to adopt safety and health behaviors.
  Perform periodic examinations of staff and audiometry, spirometry and  complementary tests and establish relevant records.
  Monitoring the correct use of personal protective equipment and supplies and monitoring the type of equipment specific to each unit with regard to the harmful factor of the work environment.
  Planning for the assessment of the harmful factors of the workplace at least once a year.
  Inspection Report of health and safety to various parts of the Complex and reflection of the observed harmful workplace factors and provide health and safety solutions to Factory Manager.
  Perform ergonomic studies and provide solutions for betterment of  working conditions.
  Performing risk assessment in different ways at specific intervals.
  Organizing monthly meetings of the Technical and Health Protection Committee to reporting to the Cooperatives Labour and Social Welfare Office  and to the Health Center of Rasht and Follow-up on session approval shortcomings.
  Providing 6 month statistics on the details of company ‘s Workplace  accidents.
  Planning and overseeing the proper implementation of all quantitative and qualitative criteria set out in the Technical and Health Protection Regulations approved by the Department of Labor and the Ministry of Health.
 Analyzing the drinking and consuming water resources and coordination for microbial water test .
 Monitoring workplace fitness and performing 5S audits and provide continuous improvement strategies and programs.
